Serger 101 - Getting Comfortable with your Serger

Serger 101: Get Comfortable With Your Serger

Train yourself to enjoy and confidently use your serger. Using your own instruction manual, we’ll identify each part of the machine and learn how to adjust settings logically and easily. We’ll tackle the most intimidating skills together, including threading and balancing tension, so your serger finally works with you instead of against you. You’ll leave with comfortable, practical knowledge and a beginner sampler workbook to support continued practice at home.

What to bring:

  • A working serger (if you’re unsure about its condition, bring it to a Tuesday night session to have it checked)

  • Your serger manual

  • All machine parts, accessories, foot pedal, and power cord
